Gourmet Salt is a unique and refined seasoning that combines several distinct flavors to create an exceptional culinary experience.

It is the extraordinary result of a combination of the particular expertise of several Quebec artisans.

The base of this salt is Saint-Laurent salt produced in Grandes-Bergeronnes from water from the Labrador Current drawn from the river estuary. This salt is then smoked by Les As du Fumoir in Bury in the Eastern Townships using wood from barrels that were first used to produce whisky. Barrels that are recovered by Virgin Mady, another artisanal company in the region, which uses them to age its excellent maple syrup in barrels.

This process gives the salt a rich and complex flavor, with woody and slightly caramelized notes, reminiscent of the character of aged whisky. There is also a subtle sweetness and additional depth provided by the maple syrup which adds a touch of sweetness.

This blend of flavors creates a versatile seasoning that can be used to enhance a variety of dishes, from grilled meats to roasted vegetables to indulgent desserts.
