Exclusive to the Gourmande boutique

Gourmet Salt is a unique and refined seasoning that combines several distinct flavors to create an exceptional culinary experience.

It is the extraordinary result of combining the expertise of three Quebec-based artisanal companies.

The base of Sel Gourmand is Saint-Laurent salt, produced in Grandes-Bergeronnes using water from the Labrador Current drawn from the St. Lawrence estuary. This salt is then smoked by Les As du Fumoir in Bury, in the Eastern Townships, using wood from barrels that were originally used for whisky production. These barrels were initially salvaged by Virgin Mady , a local artisanal company, which uses them to age some of its excellent maple syrup in barrels.

This process gives the salt a rich and complex flavor, with slightly caramelized, woody notes reminiscent of aged whisky. This is complemented by a subtle sweetness and added depth from the maple syrup.

This blend of aromas creates a versatile seasoning that can be used to enhance a variety of dishes, from grilled meats to roasted vegetables, and even indulgent desserts.

Gourmet salt is ideal for lovers of complex flavors and chefs looking for a unique touch for their culinary creations.

Ingredients: St. Lawrence sea salt, wood smoke.
